Ninth off the ranks is our Operations and Procurement Specialist, Jackson. When he's not making sure everything is running smoothly, you'll find him cooking, chasing the sun and plotting where to travel next!

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Cook, game, get out in the sun, travel. I study CompSci part-time which takes up a good chunk of my time.

Who is your Brain Hero and why?
Elon Musk – achieving immense success through innovation with the intention of doing good.

I’m also inspired by how much incredible work is going on in the space exploration industry at places like SpaceX after my time working at Rocket Lab. 

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Constantly learning and gaining a deep understanding of the systems (IT/manufacturing) that drive value in the business.

What was your dream job growing up?
As a kid I always dreamt of being an entrepreneur, which lead into the career focus on the operation of successful businesses.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? 
Stay hungry, stay humble.

What’s your one mental well-being habit you like to do? 
Utilising different parts of the brain and balancing work with fun, academic with creative etc.

What inspires you? 
The pursuit of knowledge.

If you were prime minister for the day, what change would you make? 
Target funding to improve the Hauora of kids that are most at risk of failing in school and/or falling below the poverty line.
